The Dakota Flyers is a club dedicated to radio control model aviation, keeping the hobby thriving and having fun while doing so. Our field is quite large and can handle most model airplanes and helicopters. We are an AMA sanctioned club and flyers must be AMA licensed. We welcome visitors, spectators and new members. If you would like to visit our field, it is located 1 mile south of Benson Road on N. Hall Avenue. You will find many flyers at the field on Saturday and Sunday mornings. We would like to thank the Sweetman family for letting us use the land as well as all the club members who have kept the club strong over the years.
The Dakota Flyers is located east of Interstate229 on Benson Rd. 1 mile to N.Hall Ave, turn south and travel 1/2 mile to right hand turn. At the right hand turn the entrance to the field is through the rope gate. Our runaway is short grass and the dimensions are 280 feet wide by 390 feet long. It has pits on the west and east sides for morning and afternoon flying. We have plenty of parking and a restroom.
Dakota Flyers now have a forum. See the left side column of this page.
Got spring fever?
The field looks great, new windsocks are up and the air is getting warmer. We have had several inquires this year from new people who want to learn and join. If you have not paid your 2012 dues, please do so soon.
See you at the flight line.

Brian tried to take a short cut through the trees and was able to land after a few knife edge passes for pictures. Brian has asked for an investigation into who moved that tree closer to the field...Good Luck
